Pick A Host

Week in week out Monday always starts the week, and with Monday comes Monday Night Raw. Since the middle of summer when Donald Trump “bought” Raw he proclaimed that each week we the fans would have a new host to host the show going on it’s half a thousand episodes. We have seen the likes of Snoop Dogg to some NASCAR dudes to Hall of Fame wrestlers like Dusty Rhodes and the Million Dollar Man, and even injury proned Batista.

Is this a good idea? I say meh. All these hosts do is read from a script, make these lame gimmick matches and hang out with Hornswoggle. Each celebrity brings their own types of personalities towards the shows, but how much is it theirs really, half these host don’t really know what the hell is going on.

What are these hosts really doing on the show they really care so much for? Promoting. These celebrities are on Raw capturing the broad array of people who watch this entertaining show. I remember when the guy from Entourage was hosting the show he mentioned his movie “the goods, buy hard sell hard” (or something like that, didn’t care much for the movie.) Snoop promoted his cd coming out in December, and so forth and so on.If it was soley up to these celebrities the Cena and Ortan feuds would have ended months ago, ummm and I would add another feud but nothing is sticking, maybe something with The Miz and Swagger but that went no where. O wait the only other storyline that stayed it’s path was chavo and swoggle. That was wicked lame. The only thing keeping Raw afloat is well the garbage minds behind the scenes. As long as none of the Kardahians host Raw we shall be all set.

TNHogan

I love wrestling. I love sports entertainment, which ever way you want to call it, I call it wrestling. Now I’m not going to go and dispute the name of the profession or bash people who hate or love this type of entertainment. I will also not bash Cena, I respect the man and I basically can’t really hate my own Bostonian. This is going to be my observation looking into the present and future.

Now if you have not heard the word, and no that word is not the bird. The word is that Hulk Hogan, the man the myth the legend has signed earlier this week with Total Non-Stop Action Wrestling. Also with the signing comes along with Hogan is EB, Eric Bischoff. Observers report something bigger coming within more time, but seriously who is bigger than the Hulkster. NO ONE!!!

Now since it is a new year for TNA (Bound for Glory starts a new, just like Wrestlemania to the WWE) they start making the right moves. Get rid of the Mafia, rumors report Booker is leaving, AJ is the champ and the young blood is taking control, just as TNA should be. Home of the new blood not the veteran homes. It appears TNA is going in the right direction with the main event for Novembers ppv is Joe vs. Daniels vs. AJ for the title. A look into he vault shows these 3 men have had 1 of the best matches in TNA history, in a TNA X division triple bout. Next possible December has Angle vs the champ, great another angle title match. Angle equals Triple H.

Now what am i saying, i really do not know. O right, Hogan. Now since TNA is taped, shhhh don’t tell anyone. Hogan will not actually be seen on TNA television till the ppv at the least, that is if he becomes an on air personality, wait he is Hulk Hogan of course he will be on tv. Actually come to think about it, as far as i know he has a tour in Australia. With EB in TNA a lot of things can happen, watch the Rise and Fall of WCW. It’s a good thing TNA already did the NWO type story with the Mafia, now EB can either bring TNA back into the chase or keep the points dropping.

I’m hoping that with a new form of creative behind TNA that we see great shows. TNA has a vast creative mind into wrestling, which is better than those Hollywood writers WWE has. But only time will tell, and I hope time goes into the positive direction for a great company.

Surprise

Remember when you were a child on Christmas morning running into whatever room held that tree of lights and trinkets. Held under said tree boxes and boxes wrapped in colorful paper and tape labeled From: Santa To:_______ (fill in the blank.) Your eyes light up, mouth smiles in excitement, you tear through that paper and boom you get a surprise gift, something you have wanted or dream t  of.  This feeling is of joy and glee (not the high school musical show.)

At my age many things dont surprise me. While at my local comic book store I’ve seen these little boxes, and for month I’ve avoided buying 1 of these boxes. Till about 2 weeks ago. My girlfriend suggested we get them, seeing that I always wanted to purchase a box I was all for it. We entered the car and opened this black box and found a piece of plastic wrapping our little figures of joy. Just like opening a pack of baseball cards or other cards it is a big mystery of what you will get, whether is be an A-Rod card of a Jason Varitek card.

A Dunny is a black rabbit figure painted by various artists into various images and personalities. Right after you open and look at your figure, you turn around the box to it’s sides and see how rare the Dunny you just got is. 2/25 or 1/100 rates the rarities of your new friend. Along with your Dunny they sometimes come with a little accessory but always come with a little piece of paper designed as your Dunny. Kidrobots are the creative team behind these Dunny. On there site you can find all types of Dunny’s and see all the wide array of designs.  I myself personally enjoy the Ye ‘olde English versions.

Zombie Zombie Undead Undead

With the new Zombieland movie out and running wild on all you Hulka-maniacs. Now everyone has a list of do and do not while being in a zombie infested new world. My list will look alike to the film list, but hey it’s a good list to follow, but mines gonna be awesome, well cause I’m awesome. In no particular order, well maybe i don’t feel like listing and numbering how to survive.

First and for most, Survive, do what ever you can do to survive.

Staying in shape is a good idea. Zombies only want 1 things, YOU! so run to avoid the catch then kill, and make sure it’s a killing blow, Head shot, head hit, head kick, head twist, anything with the head will KILL and zombie.

Yes even a frying pan. If you’re not sure just double hit it.

Stay together. Check your Surroundings and Know your Location.  By staying together you at least have someone to chat with and watch your back. Try to make sure the other person is at the same survival skill as you are, keep the higher ranked with the lower ranked, in a group it’s a good thing to rank each other for survival tactics. Check the closets, check the corners, always turn on the lights, (after locking the doors, better to be inside being attacked with a locked door than someone jumping you from behind.) Knowing is Half the Battle. The best bet is to stay in a familiar location, till it’s time to move. By knowing where you are, you keep the advantage to you.

Stay Away from the Dark. Travel during the light. It will be easier to spot the undead and find the possible other survivors.  Lack of light can  hinder your sight, zombies do not care about night or light, they will find and catch you either way.

Blog. Yeah this is not a top priority but while traveling in a caravan of people it can be a good idea to keep track of where you have been and where to zombies manifest.

Save the Opposite Sex. Come on, it’s the end of the world, BE THE HERO ONLY IF NECESSARY! Trying to get the girl can be a good idea but pick when and where. If she is trapped, SAVE HER, if she can handle herself leave her alone. When all you have is each other you need a fuck ever now and then.  And guys will not care what you do, getting some is getting some, whether your life is on the line or not.

Get Bitten Forearm. Well if your gonna get bittern, there is no better place then the forearm, chop it off. You still have another arm to battle with. Plus you can always tape, glue, weld, a weapon to your lost appendage. You can’t lose a leg cause well you need to run faster and bouncing around legless wont help anyone.

Rest! Staying well rested will keep you on your toes and not all draggy and bitching about needing sleep. Find a place, put it on lock down, stay together, rest together, always have 1 awake to watch out for the undead.

Become a criminal. Breaking and Entering doesn’t count when no one owns the location, once you become infected you can not own a house. Hot wiring a car is a great gift since the odds of the keys lying around is very unlikely. While being the criminal just kill no matter who or what, and enjoy it, everyone wants to kill people now you have the fun SO JUST HAVE FUN!!

And I swear that if any movie or network company turn zombies into cute cuddly beings I will kill myself as if i was a infected.

Marvel Rules

Almost a month ago Marvel was bought by Disney, within that month Marvel’s “biggest” game to date was released. On the 15th of September Marvel Ultimate Alliance 2 was released to the American population. I was a huge fan of the first edition of the series and loved Marvel ever since. The game is set during the Marvel worlds “at the time’ huge event, Marvel likes numerous larger than life events, the Skrull Invasion came afterwords following the death of Captain America, and right now Marvel is featuring a new ruler is Norman Osborn and his Dark Avengers as well as the new Nation X X-man story arc. Back to the game. MUA2 features the 4 team beat’em up as it’s predecessor did. Same leveling up system, powers and health meters, same quick change character set up with a tap of the d-pad. The story starts with a team of Tony, Cap, Web Head, and Wolverine along with a NPC Fury leading a strike into Latveria for matters about the new leader (play the game, I’m not purposely releasing information.) Soon enough the bad guys show up and boom! we get the new addition of the game, Fusion, a grouping of powers whether it a powerful aiming attack, group wide attack, (which is my favorite, Ms. Marvel and Songbird.)  Soon enough the story builds into politicking with the government wanting to control Superheroes. After reading the Civil War collection book I enjoyed watching the comic unravel in the video game. Watching Stamford blow up then Cap. jumping out of the Hellicarrier, just amazing.

Soon enough the game tells you to pick a side. Boom! from here the game changes momentum from all for all to saving the anti-reg. to pro-reg. Stay the path for 3 acts and then back together to end to world from a slave riding machine that the geniuses Reed and Pym stick together.

This game plays a lot like version 1, but with some vast differences. One of the big differences in the 2 games is some of the small changes. Each character gets 1 alt. costume, unlike 3 or 4 in the prior game, instead of maybe 5-7 powers all hero’s get 4 powers and 1 special fusion with each other character, which after time tells they all seems the same. The above picture shows Ironman and Songbird fusing things together, which also is the same type of move Songbird and Ms. Marvel do together. Possibly the funnest feature is the simulator disc training danger room. MUA1 had different levels with different bad guys and different situations, where as in MUA2 its the same robots in all 12 levels, different types of game play from fighting with powers to fist on fist action to my favorite pain in the ass Save your fellow robot from the cell (what the hell does that have to do with anything.)  Now I love this game but yes just like all the games out there it has some flows, the camera is worse than and is just sometimes harsh, the story just dies into the wind, my biggest nerve is the lack of X-men foes, o no Cable or Bishop ladida. We need another X-men Legends game but that is a different story.

Overall the game is great but can seem short, if you don’t look at it with the pro or anti reg. choice.  In order to get the whole feeling it must be played as both, i suggest playing Pro, first it’s easier to beat Cap. than Iron Man. On a side note, the lack of villains in the game gives us hope for a 3rd installment which better feature more mutants and the Red Skull!!

War Wages On!!

War wages on and on with the push of a simple A. Start the Game. With the release of this years Halo fps game i decided that this will open my first blogging experience. The master isn’t here today so buzz off. Today we are enlisted with the help of some ODSTs (Orbital Drop Ship Troopers) Now I’m not here to talk about the campaign here, I’m here to chat about some online multiplayer. when you buy Halo 3: ODST you get 2 discs, the ODST experience on 1 disc and on the 2nd disc you get the original Halo 3 multiplayer experience with every maps to date.  One of the biggest draws that the ODST disc gives us is the new multiplayer game entitled FireFight. FireFight or simple Horde as it is called in another game we all love Gears of War 2. Basically the same but with some very different ways to go about surviving.

Lets see if I can make some quick comparisons.

That’s all i wanna chart about, charts are tricky things. The one thing that i dislike about FireFlight is that no matter how long I wait I could not get a game with other people, and that really pissed me off. Unlike horde it appears you can not wait for others to play the mode with others. I’ve gotten pretty far on my own, just like in gears I’m good on my own.  If there is a way to play with others i just haven’t figured it out yet.

Overall FireFight is a great concept for the ODST market, I just wish there was more things you could do with your ODST counterpart. Yes we all love playing as a Spartan but the ODST would make some fun. Maybe later on this year we will see some DLC content for this great game. The future shall see. i would imagine something coming in the short future to counterpart the upcoming Call of Duty game. Time shall tell.

1st time. no longer virgin

so apparently since the girl has a blog i shall follow in her footsteps and start my own, hey maybe i could land some kind of oo nothing big. Look forward to reading my thoughts and ideas on games, comics, wrestling, and all sorts of entertainment. Peace!
